Credit unions are chartered under either federal or state law. Delco Postal Credit Union is chartered under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It is regulated by both the PA State Banking Department as well as the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). The NCUA administers the federal insurance fund (NCUSIF) which covers our credit union. No taxpayer money is used for regulating state credit unions in Pennsylvania.
